Dover, NH - Eddie Edwards, a Republican seeking his party's nomination in New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District, released the following statement regarding exemption for Congress in the healthcare bill:
"The latest healthcare legislation has a glaring omission: It still exempts Congress from having to live under the healthcare laws they pass. It’s time for leadership. Republican or Democrat, our leaders in Washington are supposed to represent the people. If our elected officials believe the latest healthcare reform is good for the American people, then they should amend it to make it apply to themselves as well. Congress should be willing to live under the laws that they pass."
