Dover, NH - Eddie Edwards, candidate for Congress in New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District, released the following statement calling on Congress to stay in session until Obamacare has been repealed and replaced, and tax reform has been passed.
He made a similar statement when speaking at the Americans for Tax Reform pledge signing in Manchester earlier today.
"For too long, our elected officials have gotten away with inaction on some of the most pressing issues facing all Americans. From the repeal and replacement of Obamacare to tax reform, it is high time for Members of Congress, both in the United State Senate and the House, to stay in Washington until they have accomplished what they were sent there to do. Only on Capitol Hill can someone get away with taking a vacation despite inaction.
"Those of us who aren’t career politicians know well that a break is earned once the job is done. Congress’ summer vacation should be canceled, and all recesses halted indefinitely, until Obamacare is repealed and tax reform has been achieved."
