Eddie Edwards, a former police chief and U.S. Navy veteran, issued the following statement:
“I strongly believe that grassroots campaigns win elections. That is why I have been working hard each and every day to grow our team of volunteers and supporters to the largest of any Republican running for Congress in NH-01. It is also why I am proud to be the only candidate hosting town hall meetings and to have campaigned in each and every town and city in our district.
"Today’s victory at the New Hampshire Federation of Republican Women’s Lilac Luncheon straw poll is yet another sign of the strength of our campaign. We have the right message of bringing the principles of honesty, integrity, and service back to NH-01. In addition, we also have consistently shown that we have the best grassroots infrastructure necessary for victory. Both will be imperative for conservatives to win in November.”
