Dover, NH – The Hampton Democrats held an NH-01 congressional candidates forum yesterday. At the event, the trend continued where each candidate tried to run further to the left of each other to secure the extreme liberal base of the district.
As reported by Paul Steinhauser, one of the questions posed to 10 of the 11 candidates running for the Democratic nomination was on voting to impeach President Donald Trump. A majority of the Democratic candidates said that they would vote to impeach the President of the United States.

Eddie Edwards, a U.S. Navy veteran, former Police Chief, and Republican candidate for Congress in NH-01, made the following statement:
“It is incredibly concerning that a majority of the Democratic candidates running for Congress in NH-01 are so far to the political left that they have shown themselves to be even more extreme than their predecessor, Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter. Instead of concerning themselves with the issues a vast majority of Granite State families are worried about, the hyper-liberal Democrats who hope to represent our district in Congress are pandering to the extremists in their party.
"While these far-left Democrats pander to secure the small percentage they will need to win their party’s nomination in September, they are actually showing the voters who they are. Rather than keeping the lines of communication open with President Trump to grow jobs, help our veterans, and solve the opioid epidemic, they are slamming the door in his face and actually want to remove him from office. That’s outrageous and very worrisome. NH-01 needs a representative who will work with President Trump to benefit the Granite State as a whole. As a conservative outsider who has had a lifetime of service in military and law enforcement, I will work with our President and always put New Hampshire families first."
