Dover, NH – Eddie Edwards’ opponent in the Republican Primary for Congress in NH-01, State Senator Andy Sanborn, has been making untrue statements about Eddie’s record for months. Over the past weekend, he sent out an attack mailer that made several untrue statements about Eddie’s record on the issues and criticized his lifetime of service to our state and nation.
In order to correct the distortions, Eddie Edwards, a U.S. Navy veteran and former law enforcement official, is putting his answers to many of the surveys he has filled out during the campaign online.
The surveys can be found on his website here: https://www.edwardsfornh.com/pledges
Derek Dufresne, a general consultant for Eddie Edwards’ campaign for Congress in NH-01, made the following statement:
"State Senator Sanborn has apparently spent too much time as a politician because twisting the facts to try and get elected seems to come all too easy for him.
"In recent days, voters across New Hampshire's First Congressional District had their mailboxes assaulted with Senator Sanborn's lies and twisting of the facts. From assailing Eddie’s career in law enforcement and in the United States Navy to his blatantly untrue statements about his positions on the issues, the Senator has proven over and over again that he doesn't care about stepping on the truth to further his political career. That's why Eddie felt the need to publicly release the pledges he has made to some of the top New Hampshire and national conservative organizations. Eddie believes transparency is key and that the voters of New Hampshire deserve to know where he stands and what he will do once elected. This section on our website will hopefully help combat the lies coming from the Sanborn campaign. Granite Staters have gotten to know Eddie well over the last fourteen months, and we are confident that they will continue to ignore the false attacks coming from Senator Andy Sanborn’s flailing campaign."
