Dover, NH – Today Michael Biundo, on behalf of Eddie Edwards campaign, filed a formal complaint with the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office. That complaint will promptly be followed up with a formal complaint to the Federal Election Commission. The nature of the complaint is regarding State Senator Andy Sanborn's illegal mailer that was sent to voters district-wide. Senator Sanborn and his campaign failed to put forth a proper disclaimer, therefore hiding the source of the negative and untrue attacks levied against Eddie Edwards.
Today's press conference showed not only were the attacks illegal, they were also false. Mr. Edwards was flanked by top leaders with all different backgrounds who put their own reputations on the line to testify and highlight Eddie's strong record on conservative issues and service to our state and nation.
Eddie Edwards was joined by the following individuals at his press conference:
Former Speaker of the New Hampshire House, Bill O'Brien
Karen Testerman, Conservative Radio Hose and Founder and Former Chairwoman of Cornerstone, one of the leading pro-life organizations in New Hampshire
Sgt. Maj. Paul Chevalier (Ret.), Leading Voice on Veterans Issues in New Hampshire, United States Marine Corps Veteran, Former State Commander of New Hampshire Veterans of Foreign Wars
Mike Sielicki, Former President of New Hampshire Chiefs of Police Association
Bob Clegg, Former New Hampshire State Senate Majority Leader, Second Amendment Activist
Victoria Sullivan, State Representative and Assistant Majority Leader, Second Amendment Activist
Susan Olsen, Leading Second Amendment Activist in New Hampshire
Eddie Edwards' General Consultant Michael Biundo issued the following statement:
"State Senator Sanborn's illegal actions are part of a pattern and highlight the character flaws in his behavior. In haste to cover up his numerous sexual misconduct scandals, Senator Sanborn took action that was not only illegal, but also untrue. In today's press conference, Eddie was joined by leading Granite Staters and showed why he is not only a strong conservative, but he is the only conservative candidate who can win in the general election in November."
