Eddie Edwards Announces New Campaign Staff

September 20, 2018

Dover, NH – Eddie Edwards, Republican nominee for New Hampshire's 1st Congressional District, has announced the hiring of four new staff members.

Eddie Edwards, U.S. Navy veteran and former law enforcement official, issued the following statement:

“After our Republican Primary victory, the excitement surrounding our campaign has been incredible. I strongly believe that in order to win in November, we must continue to take our message to all corners of NH-01. That will require the hard work of additional individuals who have the experience and dedication necessary to grow our team. I’m excited to welcome Beth, Danielle, Alex, and Isabelle to our campaign and look forward to working with them as we fight to bring honesty and integrity back to Washington.”

Beth Varney of Alton will assist the campaign in operations. Varney has been a conservative activist for many years in the Granite State. In 2016, she served as a Turf Coordinator for President Trump's presidential campaign for portions of Belknap, Strafford, and Carroll Counties. After President Trump secured the Republican nomination, Varney transitioned to the New Hampshire Republican State Committee where she continued her grassroots work through the general election. She has also worked on her husband's, State Representative Peter Varney's (R, Alton), campaigns since 2014.

Danielle Rieger of Derry will be the scheduler for the Edwards campaign. Rieger has been a volunteer and grassroots activist since 2008 in local and state-wide elections in New Hampshire. After graduating from the Vesta Roy Series in 2012, Rieger became the Women For Mitt Romney Rockingham County Co-Chair and then in 2014 was the Women's Coalition Director for Marilinda Garcia for Congress in NH-02.

Rieger went on to work for CARLY for America, Carly Fiorina's Presidential Super PAC, in 2015 and in 2016, became a Field Leader for the Republican National Committee in New Hampshire. She was also the NHYR Gipper Award Winner for her volunteerism and activism in 2017 and has served as Secretary for the Derry GOP.

Alexander Jensen of Windham will be joining the campaign as a Field Representative. He has worked on local and congressional campaigns throughout New Hampshire, specializing in Rockingham, Strafford, and Hillsborough Counties. Jensen worked on the 2014 Scott Brown for U.S. Senate campaign and for the Republican National Committee as a Turf Coordinator in New Hampshire during the 2016 Presidential Election. He then spent time working on campaigns in Montana in 2017.

Before joining the Edwards campaign, Jensen was working with the Republican National Committee in New Hampshire during this 2018 election cycle.

Isabelle Daigle will be joining the campaign as a Field Representative. Daigle is a senior at Saint Anselm College studying Politics and Campaign Management. She spent the summer of 2017 interning at The White House, and in the summer of 2018, she interned for the communications office at the Republican National Committee. In 2016, Daigle worked as a Turf Coordinator for the joint Republican National Committee and Trump for President campaign efforts in the greater Manchester area. She also worked for the Maine GOP in the 2014 election cycle, specifically for the re-election of Governor Paul Lepage.
