Dover, NH – Eddie Edwards, the Republican nominee for New Hampshire's 1st Congressional District, has won tonight's Granite State Debate.
Eddie Edwards' General Consultants Derek Dufresne and Michael Biundo issued the following statement:
"The contrast could not have been clearer tonight. Eddie Edwards outlined a vision for our country that is a reflection of the lifetime of service he has given to our state and nation. He discussed how his background in law enforcement has taught him how our leaders can better combat the opioid epidemic. He outlined why his time in the U.S. Navy gave him an important perspective on how too many of our veterans have been forgotten when it comes to the benefits they have earned. He talked about getting government out of the way so our small business owners can keep growing our economy. Eddie understands the issues impacting Granite Staters because he knows how important it is that we empower New Hampshire families, not more government.
"In contrast, with Chris Pappas, we saw a career politician who has been on the ballot 18 times. One who will vote to support Nancy Pelosi and is a member of the incredibly divisive #RESIST Movement that is heightening the dangerous rhetoric we are seeing around our nation. An individual who believes that a bigger government, higher taxes, and more spending is what our country needs. He could not be more wrong. The voters of NH-01 will send a loud message next Tuesday that they are tired of divisive career politicians who will go to Washington solely to benefit their own careers and their own party. They are craving real reform and a true public servant who is looking to actually change Washington by finally changing the sort of people we send there to vote on our behalf. They will vote for Eddie Edwards and will ensure he is our next voice in Washington."
